In 2020, the Cleveland Surgical Society formed a Mentoring Alliance with the Cleveland School of Science and Medicine. Our Society is committed to mentoring the youth of Cleveland. The Cleveland School of Science and Medicine educates high school students who are motivated to enter a career in STEM and Medicine.
Ongoing activities include panel discussions, one-on-one mentoring, and our first Skills Lab hosted by the Sim Lab staff at the Cleveland Clinic in November of 2021.
In 2022, Cleveland Surgical Society was granted the Innovator Award from the Cleveland School of Science and Medicine for its impactful presence and activities. Many relationships have been born from this Alliance and we look forward to many years of engagement with the youth of Cleveland.
